Covid-19 Spa Policies & Safety Plan

Like every personal care service business, the way we operate has dramatically changed in response to Covid-19. This new normal includes limiting the number of people in the spa at one time, a decrease in the total number of appointments we can schedule in one day, a change in the type of services we can offer safely, and various limits to the ways we interact with clients every day.


Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this unprecedented global event together. We appreciate the continued support and enthusiasm for our practitioners, services, and products.


We are continuing to follow the strict protocols recommended by WorkSafeBC, the Public Health Officer, and BC Beauty Council to keep our spa a healthy and safe environment for staff and guests.


Retail & Reception Hours:

Tuesday to Thursday, 10 AM to 6 PM

Friday, 10 AM to 5 PM

Closed for lunch break from 1:30 to 2:00 PM


Service appointments are not affected by these hours. Your service provider will manage arrival and departures during reception closures.


When You Arrive at Nanaimo Elements


BC's provincewide indoor mask mandate applies to everyone, regardless of vaccination status. Please have your mask on when you arrive for your appointment.


There is no waiting area available. Please wait outside or in your vehicle. We will direct you into the spa as soon as numbers allow. Knock or call us at 250-585-8768 when you arrive.


Please do not enter the spa if you are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms. A list of symptoms/conditions is also posted on our door; please do not enter if any apply to you.


Contact Us First Policy Recommendation for Shopping Or Product Consultations


With limits to our hours and capacity, we recommend you contact us first with your product questions before you shop. We can ensure you receive the best possible service and advice by doing so.


As per provincial guidelines, we can no longer offer seating or a waiting area within the spa. If you do choose to drop in during our retail hours, please be advised that you may have to wait outside the business until directed to enter. Knock or call when you arrive and we will open the door for you as soon as numbers allow.


If you know which products you'd like to purchase, we recommend contacting us before you visit and we will have your order ready to pick up when you arrive. We are now offering local delivery twice a week as well.

Services & Treatments By Appointment Only


Please note, we are only able to accommodate services by appointment only. Request an appointment using our website form or call us at 250-585-8768 to schedule an appointment.


Note, priority is given to clients whose last appointment at Nanaimo Elements occurred from January 2019 forward, to the existing clientele of all service providers, and to existing gift cardholders. We are doing our best to accommodate all appointment requests. Thank you for your patience and understanding.


Please Come To Your Appointment Alone


There is no longer a waiting area in the spa and we must restrict the number of people in the spa at one time. As a result, we ask you to come to your appointment alone and leave all unnecessary objects in your vehicle.


No Product Returns At This Time; Samples Available


As per Beauty Council recommendations, we are no longer accepting product returns. Note, we do offer samples so you can try before committing to purchasing a product.


Currently, We Are Not Accepting New Registered Massage Therapy Clients


At this stage, our RMT is fully subscribed.


Appointments Booked Prior To March 18, 2020 Are Cancelled


All service appointments booked for June and beyond prior to March 18, 2020, are cancelled.
